Kitty Plays – House Party
House Party surprised me at first because I was moving around in first person, much like an ordinary 3D game. There were plenty of people to talk to and things to interact with, but I did not immediately understand where to go or what I was supposed to do.
A few characters were funny and entertaining. Unfortunately, the longer I played, the less interested I became. Confusing tasks, lengthy dialogue and bugs made it difficult to enjoy the party, and by the end of one route I had little desire to start another.

House Party at a Glance
Before getting into what I loved — and what drove me crazy — here’s the quick version.
GAME STYLE
First-person exploration, interactions and relationship branches.
WHAT KEPT ME PLAYING
Some entertaining characters and different interactions.
BIGGEST FRUSTRATION
Confusing tasks, lengthy dialogue and technical bugs.
Plenty of Mechanics, but Not Enough Direction
There are lots of different mechanics, and I sometimes became confused about how to use them or what an action was meant to achieve. The journal contained tasks and hints, but I did not find it especially helpful.
Much of my progress came from trial and error: interacting with objects and trying different actions until something worked. I can see that appealing to someone who enjoys exploring every possibility, but for me it became tiring rather than absorbing.
Character Routes Rather Than One Main Story
As I understood it during my playthrough, there was not a single main story carrying everything forward. Instead, I was opening relationship branches with particular characters.
Getting closer to one person could turn another connected character against me. Exploring other directions meant going back and trying different choices. That creates reasons to replay, but only if you enjoy the characters and interactions enough to want more.
A Few Fun Characters, but Too Much Conversation
Some characters were amusing and interesting, but most did not stay with me. The familiar American house-party setting did not feel particularly original either.
At first I paid attention to the conversations. Later, I found myself getting bored. There was a lot of dialogue that, to me, did not seem connected to anything meaningful. I wanted more reason to care about what happened next.
Graphics and Bugs Affected My Enjoyment
The graphics were acceptable to me overall, but I found the angular shapes of the character models distracting, particularly their bodies.
I also could not comfortably play at the highest graphics settings on my computer. That was my experience with my own setup, rather than a judgement about how the game will run for everyone.
A couple of the adult scenes I encountered had bugs. Those interruptions made an already uneven experience less enjoyable.
What About the Adult Content?
In the route I played, the adult scenes felt relatively few and the variety was limited. The appearance of the models and the bugs in a couple of scenes also affected my impression.
For me, this felt more like a game about wandering around, trying interactions and opening character branches than one packed with adult scenes. Players who enjoy that process may get more from it than I did.
Does House Party Interactive Toys?
Yes — I found an interactive toy option in the game settings while I was playing House Party. I didn’t have a compatible toy connected, so I haven’t tested the integration and can’t tell you how well it works. But the option is there, which is worth knowing if interactive gameplay is something you’re interested in.

Kitty’s Verdict: Is House Party Worth Playing?
I would recommend House Party mainly to fans of this kind of game: people who enjoy exploring a setting, testing interactions and trying different relationship paths.
Personally, I did not find it particularly interesting or absorbing. There were entertaining moments, but the unclear tasks, dialogue and bugs outweighed them for me.

No — Kitty doesn’t Like It
My takeaway: House Party offers plenty to experiment with, but it did not make me want to stay for another round.
